Happy book launch day!

Today, 21 December 2021, you can finally get your copy of #31Days: A Collection of Horror Essays, vol. 2 written by me. This collection features 64 newly revised and expanded essays inspired by the annual #31DaysOfHorror challenge at Sketching Details.

Each day in October 2021, I reviewed at least one piece of horror media. This included anthology films on Sundays, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre quadrilogy on Mondays, documentaries about horror on Tuesday, films directed by women on Wednesdays, LGBTQIA2S+ horror films on Thursdays, and new releases on Fridays and Saturdays. Every review has been rewritten and expanded into new pieces of media criticism, going deeper into the topics I just began to scratch the surface of during the marathon of #31DaysOfHorror.

The collection also features the entirety of my The Outer Limits season one series originally published at The Avocado. The first season of the iconic sci-fi/horror series was heavy on the horror and still holds up to this day. Each of these essays has also been revised and expanded for inclusion in the book.

Finally, the book has a massive recommendations section featuring at least three suggestions for other horror media to explore if you’re interested in the film, TV series, or book covered in the essays. Finally, my years of obsessively watching every piece of horror media I can pays off. I joke about forgetting more horror films than most people have ever seen, which is only a joke because I never really forget the films once I see them.

#31Days: A Collection of Horror Essays, vol. 2 is available at my Ko-fi, as well as Smashwords, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Google Play, Kobo, and Amazon today. The paperback is also available on Amazon and will soon be stocked for signed bookplate bundles at the Ko-fi. The audiobook is at the mercy of distributors, but will hopefully arrive soon.
